State Archive of the Perm Krai is an institution that is engaged in the storage, systematization and description of written, pictorial and cartographic documents. Archive’s funds contain documents about the history, culture, ethnography, archeology and geography of the Kama region, the Ural and Russia from the beginning of XVII century until current moment.
Archive uses modern technologies of storage, restoration, digitization and methods of using documents.
Archive has 18 modernized archival depositories, including:
• map library;
• depository for documents on the specialized media;
• repository of electronic documents.
The archive laboratories carry out the restoration work, including the renovation of the old binding (French and monastery), and is also used fading text recovery technology.
Reading rooms are equipped with computers, interactive touch screens for viewing digitized documents, large size photographs, maps and etc.
